Tongabezi is a luxury lodge, some 15 kilometres from Victoria Falls on the banks of the Zambezi River.

Accommodation is in open-fronted houses (there are 5), or cottages (5 River, 1 Garden). Each unit has its own valet, to take care of guests, and who also acts as a private concierge.

Each house is unique, from the Honeymoon House, with its private balcony overlooking the River, to the Bird House with its sweeping views and open-air sunken bath. There is also the open-decked Tree House, and the Dog House, and the new Nut House, which is entirely enclosed, and boasts a private garden and infinity plunge pool.

In addition to the houses, there are five River Cottages, all of which overlook the banks of the Zambezi. Each has a large double bed or two singles, plus a mosquito net and en suite bath and shower. You also have an indoor and outdoor area for private dining, or to be used as somewhere to relax and enjoy the view. The Cottages are enclosed, and may be more suited for those who are not as happy with being in the open-fronted Houses.

There is also the Garden Cottage, which is ideal for a family or couple seeking luxury and privacy. The house is hidden behind a private walled garden, set back from the river, thus making it the only accommodation at Tongabezi that does not have a view of the Zambezi River. The cottage boasts 2 bedrooms, a private living room, with fireplace, and open-air sunken bath.

The main lodge area incorporates the central lounge, central lounge, bar and dining room, which are under thatch. In addition, there is a swimming pool which has been landscaped into the rock face. Meals are served in the large dining room or on the deck overlooking the river.

Tongabezi offers luxury and relaxations, but also an excellent range of activities which includes game drives, bush walks, sunrise and sunset boating trips. As there is no set pattern to your day, you be as active as you wish.

Non inclusive activities includes bungee jumping, white water rafting, a visit to Livingstone Island where you can enjoy lunch in the middle of the Zambezi, right on the lip of the Victoria Falls and flights over the Falls, to mention a few.
