Stanley Safari Lodge | Livingstone Safari Lodges

Stanley Safari Lodge is set on a hill overlooking and the spray of the Victoria Falls is visible from the rooms. The lodge also borders Livingstone’s Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, and is 3 kilometres from the magnificent Zambezi River.

With only 10 cottages, the Lodge offers exclusivity, and an unmatched personalised service. Most of the accommodation (7units) is half open, allowing guests to experience the sights and the sounds of the bush in a unique way. The remaining 3 units are full enclosed. 4 of the Cottages also have a private plunge pool. All accommodation has mosquito netting. The cottages vary from double rooms to the honeymoon suite, which has its own fireplace and plunge pool. Each of the cottages is individually designed and decorated with local materials, making each one unique. You can also enjoy the use of a private garden, and private dining can be arranged at your cottage, in the wine cellar, or even in the infinity pool!

The main House is spacious, and allows for excellent views of the area. Here you can enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, and European-style cuisine with an African twist in the dining room. You might also like to relax in the peace of the library or upper deck. The House is also half open, and gives a truly African feel, while the colonial closed suites with private plunge pool evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone.

You might also prefer to relax and sun-bathe at the swimming pool.

Stanley Safari Lodge is the perfect base from which to explore – and there is a diverse choice of activities, from river rafting and bungee jumping to sunset cruises, and elephant back rides.

You might wish to visit the nearby traditional village which is over 700 years old and still ruled by its traditional ruler, His Royal Highness Chief Mukuni, Monarch of the Victoria Falls. Also worthy of a visit are the Livingstone museum and the lively Maramba market.

The lodge is also happy to arrange activities for the more adventurous – from rafting, bungee jumping and jet boating, to gorge swings.

You might also prefer to enjoy a round of golf at the local, colonial era, Livingstone Royal Golf & Country Club, where there is also a bar and restaurant.
