Chundukwa River lodge in Livingstone is situated on the green banks of the magnificent Zambezi River, some 25 kilometres upstream from the Victoria Falls, Chundukwa River Lodge enjoys beautiful views of the River, Chundu Island, and faces Zambezi National Park, on the opposite bank. This is a game rich area, with regular sightings of hippo and elephant in particular. Birding is also spectacular, whether within the Lodge surroundings, or as you enjoy a sunset cruise.

Chundukwa River Lodge is a small, intimate lodge, accommodating only ten guests. This ensures personalised service, and a relaxed atmosphere. The Lodge was built to blend into its surroundings, and accommodation is elevated, and open-fronted, chalets, each with an uninterrupted River view. The chalets are also equipped with fans and mosquito nets. Of the 5 units, one is for families, and can accommodate 4 persons, and one is the Honeymoon suite, with sunken bath and open-air shower.

Chundukwa River Lodge prides itself on providing delicious home-cooked meals, which incorporate the freshest local produce. As this is an owner-run Lodge, dinners are also hosted by them.

In terms of activities, you can enjoy canoeing trips on the River, which range from 2 hours, to a full day. You might also opt for a short safari, with 2 nights at Chundukwa River Lodge, and 2 nights on a canoe trip. Horse Trails are also available, with half- or full-day options.

You might also just wish to enjoy some birding, on the property, and there are optional additional excursions available to the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, local markets, and museums. For golfers, there is an excellent course in nearby Livingstone. For the more adventurous, white water rafting, and a host of other adrenalin activities can also be arranged. This is an area where there is a lot happening, and a lot to choose from which is why a two or three night stay is recommended.
